Happy Friday Reader,
Welcome to the fall and cooler weather. When the seasons change, I like to check in and see what I want to change in my life. Metaphorically, what leaves am I ready to drop? Which new experiences do I want to try?

I hugely value the people in my life who make me feel energized to lean into new experiences. This week's guest, Gabrielle, not only helped me learn to be an excellent AD, but she mentors and encourages all those around her to try the new thing. She's great at using her existing expertise to dive in to the next thing. While some people are just diving in to digital media, she's already built a career across digital narrative, commercials, and emerging media, leading multi-format experimental productions online and in theatres.

This week I'm learning more about the current state (less excited) and future outlook (more excited) of vertical videos, and experimenting with new tools to help clients make their online presence feel more fresh and like them.
​
It's challenging sometimes to start again and again and feel like a beginner. How am I already behind in something that didn't exist 3 years ago?!? But Gabrielle's energy and encouragement to start from the beginning somewhere you're excited to be kept me going this week. Who knows where any of this will lead, but we're definitely pointed somewhere more exciting.
